2010 People Of The Year Awards- Info & FormsPrintable

2010 People Of The Year Awards

Each year, many volunteers within the Clubs/Associations/District give of their time, energy, talent and passion to the youth in our communities as Coaches, Administrators, and Volunteers to help make Youth Soccer work. Without them, our kids would not get to learn and participate in this wonderful sport.

It’s time now for you to help us identify and recognize these deserving individuals.
Here is an outline of the process in District IV:
- All nominations that are to be routed through District IV should originate in a member Club.
- Club Nominations are then sent to their member Associations
- Each Association then selects its nominees from those it receives from its member clubs and forwards up to one nomination in each Category for the District to select from. Thus, while the State Site has posted the deadlines for receipt of nominations to the District, each member Club and Association will establish an earlier date to ensure their nominees reach the next level by that level's Deadline. The sooner you submit your nominations, the better.

Each year, District IV and Washington Youth Soccer solicit nominations for awards in the following categories:

  1. Washington Youth Soccer Coach of the Year

    a. Boys Recreational
    b. Girls Recreational
    c. Boys Competitive
    d. Girls Competitive

  2. Washington Youth Soccer Volunteer of the Year
  3. District IV Young Volunteer of the Year

    a. Young Male Volunteer of the Year
    b. Young Female Volunteer of the Year

  4. Washington Youth Soccer Administrator of the Year
  5. Washington Youth Soccer Goal of the Year
  6. Washington Youth Soccer Save of the Year
  7. Washington Youth Soccer Young Referee of the Year
  8. Washington Youth Soccer Hall of Fame

Washington Youth Soccer has recently updated all the information regarding these awards on their site at this link Washington Youth Soccer 2010 "Of The Year Awards-> Please go here to obtain the proper forms and see the specific deadline dates for each award to be processed via the District. Also, please be aware that to make the posted District Deadline, each Association will have to set an earlier Deadline to enable them to select their nominees. So, start with the Forms as soon as possible and submit them via you Club as soon as possible.

Lets do our part now to recognize our volunteers.

Should you have any questions on this recognition program, please contact the District IV 2nd Alternate Commissioner (Carl Blaisdell) secondalternatecommissioner@d4soccer.org .
